Mapsolute joins GEOkomm networks - the Association of the Geoinformation Industry Berlin/Brandenburg (GEOkomm e.V.).

Since March 2007 Mapsolute is part of the GEOkomm networks (http://www.geokomm.net/). The Association of the Geoinformation Industry Berlin/Brandenburg (GEOkomm e.V.) was founded in November 2002. Its members are small to medium sized companies from the region as well as major enterprises with an international scope. The profile of GEOkomm e.V. is completed by scientific institutions, officials from state governments and other actors who are interested in a strong geoinformation industry in the region. Currently the association has 38 members. The experience of our work so far has made it clear that it is necessary to find an institutional framework for the activities of the association.

Mapsolute will utilize the network for cooperation with companies from adjacent economic sectors and for
sharing knowledge with partners and customers. The broad variety of the partizipating companies
promises to offer synergetic effects as well as opportunities for acquiring projects in the fields of
Research and Development and in the public sector.

Releases for the Map24 Component Interface are published for download on DevNet from now on. The releases will be provided for both versions of the Map24 Component Interface (CI): .NET 2.0 and the ActiveX (COM).

Each release contains:

• Release notes
• The component binaries
• The interface description - XML for .NET and IDL for ActiveX
• An example application (binary with source code) showing the main features of the component
